they drive on the left. everything is the same as over here except for the turning rule. if you're turning right across traffic, and someone is coming towards but turning down the same road i.e they are making a left turn you have the right of way. i found the best thing to do is turn slowly until you're used to it kiwis are used to people abusing this rule and watch out for it. have fun there |

The left. A good way to remember which side you are meant to be on (especially while you are driving) is to make sure the driver's side is always in the middle of the road and the front passenger is closest to the edge of the road. This works in every country you go to since the cars steering wheel is on the inner side. |

The left, the same as Ireland, UK, South Africa, Japan, Oz, plus loads more.. |

Its the left side. The good news is that the traffic is pretty easy so if you are new to it, its dooable. The hard part is that many roads are narrow and have tight switchbacks. |

Kiwi's dont have roads, they use footpaths and they drive on the middle of the road from time to time. |

I figured out a simple tip for driving wherever you are. It is the left in NZ but steering wheels are on the right side of the car. It is almost a given that if you drive on the left, steering is on the right and vice versa. So as long as oncoming traffic is on the driver's side of the car, you are on the right side of the road. If oncoming traffic is on the Passenger side of the car, you are lucky to be alive..get over. |
