I wet to Oz with Singapore airlines they were proper good. Theyve got good movies, Good tunes, super nintendo, Fine air hostesess, Fine food, beer, everything. The best one for me was checking the lady stewards out that kept me occupied all the way to singapore. I love asian women. The best thing is probably try get some kip, it will knock hours off you flight. Get a few bevvies down ya and youll be out like a light at that altidude.

Open your creative mind, the time of (kinda) isolation will give you time to write a story or a song or whatever tickles your fancy! That or you could sleep but hey its your flight.

I am so used to flying crazy long hours! We lived in Miami and flew to Japan often because I have family there. And well, that's an 18 hour flight! My advice to you: bring along some snacks, you are allowed to use your mp3 player on the flight, maybe grab some riddle books or crossword puzzles, SLEEP, write a short story or a poem, talk to people around you given they seem friendly enough, play some games on your cell phone (if available)... hm... if you have a laptop, bring that, but given you're flying so far, I'm not sure how cumbersome it will be for you to bring it.

Anyway, those are my suggestions and examples of what I've done in the past. Good luck!

The flight will be split into sleeping times and daylight times so try to have a sleep, watch some inflight TV, listen to your MP3 player, eat, walk about and try to make the best of a lousy situation.

Maybe you don't pick the right book? I try to pick something that is entertaining and about the place I am visiting. There are lots of stories (fiction) based on the history of the place you go. It doesn't just fill up the time, it gets you excited about where you are going and when you get there, it has more meaning for you.

Or you could get drunk and then have a hangover...

I have been on MANY!!!!! long flights!!!
i usually just sleep the whole time lol but i still suggest a laptop, a game boy, once i went on a long flight with my family and we played cards or you can talk to the people around you if you want i like to do that lol and I'm pretty sure you can use a mp3player or ipod or CD players. but i think the BEST thing it just to sleep lol

Hope you dont get bored lol
Have a GREAT trip

Ideally your airline will offer TV's in the back of each seat.(most airlines have this in economy now)
this means you can watch hours of movies and play games!

u can read the inflight magazine, listen to your music, or do some crosswords.

There will be movies and video games. Magazines will help pass the time too. You will have like 5 or 10 movies to watch on a schedule, in addition to meals. Bring a cloth and soap so you can freshen up in the bathrooms...you'll get nasty. This is 21 hours in addition to the time you'll spend at the airports...my trip to Australia from Michigan was an experience.

The carrier will make sure you're not bored out of your mind. You will have an area where you can stretch and stand up. I wouldn't worry, the movies aren't bad, you can see where the plane currently is on your personal screen, look at the news, among other things.

I believe you can go onto Qantas.com, or the airline's website to see what's playing...

Oh yeah, for some weird reason, the entire time I flew both ways, it was always night. We came into Australia right in the morning, quite a cool experience...flying into Sydney in the morning.

I think you can use your mp3, or you can try to sleep.

Sleep. Otherwise you will be really tired when you arrive & will need to go to bed immediately & will miss out on part of your holiday.

As some other's mentioned, an MP3 player, or a portable DVD player helps pass some of the time. The longest trip I took was 12 hours. I'm not so sure you'll be in the air for 21 hours, so maybe during any lay-over time you could get a new magazine, a book or perhaps a meal.

I've seen people who are into video games play those a lot too.

Have safe travels.

Yes, you can use your mp3 player.

Get a PSP (with extra batteries, games, movies, etc.)

Since you don't read, are you even allowed in New Zealand?

Long Doggy Roy
Play Sudoku or watch DVDs on a laptop.

nonconformiststraightguy
Bring a bottle of wine , and a couple of sleeping pills
