in brisbane it has to be the university of queensland, do u want 2 send me another email like u did last time and i can give u more info???
the OP system in qld 1-25 ( 1being highest (the best)-25lowest(the worst)) is what most universities will use the more prestigious the school the more likely the OP range will be higher. for example if u did law at University of queensland the op might be a 4 whereas other universities with a less prestigious name may be toward a 6-9 (this is a guide only)

i can give u more info just send me a message and i promise to reply to u

ANU definitely has the best reputation, but I think the one that turns out the best doctors is Melbourne Uni

wintersnow
definitely Australian National Uni

angelsilverstar
Australian National University is the top ranked University in Australia and they do have a medicine degree. However, the uni has only started to offer this degree in the last few years so I suspect it would still be in early stages. ANU has good research facilities but it might be better to do a medicine degree at another uni for now as medicine is quite new there. I have heard good things about University of Queensland (although I'm not sure about Medicine) and the University of Melbourne (for medicine).

Now I might be wrong ... I love ANU ... as a graduate there and a drop out from UNSW in Sydney - ANU is superb ... but ...

I don't think ANU has a straight Medicine course does it? It has a fantastic medical research department which leads the world in several areas ... but Medicine degree?

Have to agree Melbourne seems the go for Medicine. Sydney has one downfall ... it's in Sydney!

Checkout the Australian Universities Guide (I think there's an online edition now). It's fairly good. But you also need to consider which city you'd most like to live in. I don't mean to offend Sydney-siders but it's a culture shock for country kids. Melbourne is more relaxed for mine

university of queensland at Brisbane
esp. research

The uni with the best reputation (often unfounded) is Sydney, but ANU has best research facilties.
Depends on what you want. If it's doors to open due to your uni, Sydney's the go. Full of wankers though.

But Why??
University of NSW is great. UTAS also has high reputation.
