Life in Perth is pretty breezy. We have chilly winters, hot summers and it's great weather for the beach life so many people living here are lucky to have.
We don't have earthquakes(atleast none in my lifetime), floods are rare and you only find hurricanes and cyclones in the tropical areas. Although we do have some small tornados (willy willies).
The land is vast and beautiful but also dangerous at times. Work is bountiful and well paid, food is great, education system is fantastic, the health care system set up here is amazing (makes it so even the poorest people can receive quality health care. There are some bad things like drought season, bugs and peak hour on the freeway though.
It's a beautiful, relaxing lifestyle that so many people in the world can't afford. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Perth is great!
NO earthquakes, harricanes and floods if any are due to a burst pipe.

Yes it is cheaper than living in the UK.

BUT. it is isolated from the rest of Australia. Basically it is almost cheaper to fly and stay in Bali for 7 nights then it is to just pay for airfare to Mel or Syd.

There is a great little island to visit off the coast. The beaches are great. A few hours south you have some great wineries even the swan valley is good. There is heaps of things to see and do nature wise up north but you need a few days for that.

As you can Tell I just love it. I would never want to live permanently anywhere else in the world.

Perth is great, im Uk born but lived in Perth most of my life
Not too cold in winter, we are just coming in to spring now and its been a lovely day.Wildflowers are coming out. It can get hot in the summer , but there is airconditioning, Dont get many earthquakes think the last one i remember was in the 1960,s. we get storms in winter, but not like the U S .
Life is great and we are not isolated as one person said, you can hop a plane easy and go any where, with Virgin Blue its cheap these days
ive lived in Sydney, i visit my son in Brisbane but always look forward to coming home to the West.

i would say life in perth is pretty decent. no floods, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no nothing apart from drought. i wouldnt know in comparison but id say its pretty cheap. good weather aswell, its a pretty good place

better than the uk.. mind you anywhere is better than the uk.. at the moment..

it is far cheaper than UK.

if you're after a peaceful,not much stressful life then you should like perth. perth is more quiet,more peaceful and of course,low crime rate. people are more friendly and cheerful. they have time to nod and smile at you since they're not in a rush or in a hurry.

perth is also a booming city with much more opportunities to offer.

sydney has more nightlife.the life there is fast paced since it's a bigger city..

but if there's one place that i'd like to spend the rest of my life,it would be perth..

Love Perth, really nice place.....i've been there 3 times (i'm from UK). It's a big city, lush vegetation, and losts to do. The friendly port of Fremantle is really close to it too. Perfect for drinking in the summer.

Only big con (voiced to me by a few people who live in Perth) is the cities isolation. All the other major Oz cities are on the East on North coast.And because Australia is so large, you really have to take a plane to them, as driving would take days.

But yeah a great place to go......but i can't comment on to 'live'
