I flew with Malaysian Airlines, they were brilliant. Travel Agent told us that with them you get an extra inch or so of leg room (not that you notice in economy!!)
Service was excellent the whole flight. |

Quantas is dearer, Singapore Airlines a little cheaper and has a bit more leg room. Not sure if your mean International or Domestic If Domestic ,Virgin no frills flights. |

I can highly recommend Singapore Airlines, brilliant they are, plenty of leg room in economy, as many drinks as you want on the journey, good food, lots of snacks and all included in the ticket price, shaving gear in the gents and pampering stuff in the ladies loos free of charge, great staff who look after you. |

I just got back from Sydney in March and had several interesting flights. I found that Qantas was the best service ( although not what they used to be) Just make sure you do not get Qantas discount airline Jet Star . ( terrible service ) Hopefully you get a direct flight from Vancouver. That's the way to go . Everytime we go through L.A several bags go missing.
