Whats the main differences between living in the USA and Australia?

The culture I think is the biggest difference. The people in Oz are much more friendly, laid back and cheerful.

You'll see lots of Asians in Syndey; that surprised me!

The accents are cool. The weather is great! Tourists who go to Oz tend to see natural beauty (The GB Reef, Three Sisters, Fraser Island, Ayers Rock, Barron Falls) but American siteseeing is quite different (ie NYC, Vegas, LA...it's all buildings/attractions).

The government is much different when it comes to healthcare, drinking laws, etc.

And it's just a quick trip to other tropical paradises: Fiji, Thailand, Tasmania, New Zealand.... (sigh). It's awesome.

That's not true oblong, most states the age of consent is 16. Some are 17 or 18 I think but none are lower than 16.

Other then that...I dunno probably not much. Our seasons are different? lol
In Sydney in never snows and the coldest it gets in winter is probably around 10 degrees celcius.

people act a little more differently and accents you have to get used to and the food as well isnt exactly what your use to in the USA

oblong is so wrong baseball and nfl are not boring. and it is not true that there are hardly any americans living in australia me my mum and brother are from america and we live in australia.and maybe there aren't as many americans in australia probably because this is australia and australians are born here.
as for your question i find that in america everything is so much more rushed and differnet. also driving on different sides of the road. and the school buses in australia you have to pay for them even thought they are called school buses. and the school holidays/vacation are at different times and go for a different amount of time. soz i'm talkin bout schoool that's all i can think of.

We don't have millions of hick rednecks who hate black / gay / ethnic people.

We can drink at age 18. And there is no age of consent, so if you are 22 and your girlfriend is 14, you can still sleep together.

Also, there aren't many Americans in Australia. And you don't have to watch baseball or American Football, which are both really boring. Australian Rules Football is a very quick and exciting sport and all they guys are hot. My dad is a famous commentator.
