Australia is huge, it can snow in some parts, alot of desert, and Tropical. Some parts of Australia has four season, the tropics have a wet and a dry season.
You really needed to ask in more detail on what you really need, however for the official Australian weather website - see the Bureau of Meteorology http://www.bom.gov.au for more information.

I live in Queensland on the North Eastern coast line in Australia. We have fantastically hot summers and mild to cold winters. In summer we are prone to cyclones, and large tropical storms. They are a part of life here and we recover pretty quickly in most cases. We get allot of localised flooding with the heavy downpours but it usually resides quickly. But mostly we have hot sunny days with little wind. Perfect for the beach or BBQ. Our Winters see cold winds come up from the south, seemingly straight off the arctic polar cap. This is mostly in the South of the state and is worst around August. In the North of the state in Winter we have mild temperatures but cold nights. We have just had a cyclone pass through the top end of the state and caused wide spread flooding in the out back isolating towns like Mt Isa, Julia Creek and Hughenden. It caused millions of dollars damage, drowned countless livestock and dumped more rain in two weeks than the whole of last year. Sounds impressive, yet very little people in the state were effected because most of the damage was in sparsely populated areas. It also dumped allot of rain around Cairns and Townsville which coincided with a King tide so the flooding was more than usual. We are actually having a fantastic beach season with plenty of sunshine and the fishing has been the best in years.

In melbourne we call it four seasons in a day weather. It's a bit nuts it can be 37 degrees on day during summer and the next day it's 19. It's also very windy in Melbourne. February is the hottest time of the year it can get to 45.

I live in Perth on the west australian coast and right now it varies from the 20's up to the high thirties 9mostly thirties) and a few days of the year it gets up to 40-44 3 days ago it was 41.8 and then went back to normal. In winter the lowest is about 3 degrees at NIGHT and from 11- the 20's during the day. Our summers are the best and i wouldnt want to live anywhere else. At the start of this year we had a week and a bit of it not going under 30 degrees.

Australia is known for warm to hot weather most of the time. Sydney is great to travel to year-round. Australia's seasons are opposite those of the U.S.: Jan/Feb/Mar = Summer
June/July/August = Winter

Here's a link to Australian weather:
