A churchman at a cathedral in Australia in the 1950s was named Dr. Church.

My old mate who used to be a bank teller long time ago swears he had a Mr Harbour as a customer who had trustee accounts for his son and daughter, Sydney and Pearl.

My phone at work once rang and a voice asked me if they could speak to Hilary Wunsch. I said "I'm sorry, I don't know her." The voice said "He's a him!"

I used to work with a man called Seldon. Nothing funny or odd about that but he was very quiet, so people called him "Seldom Spoke".

Another man was called "The Unit" because they said he had an intelligence quotient of 1.

There is a biochemist / molecular biologist in the USA called Gene Shearer.

Edit - just remembered one from school days. Young Mr. Metcalfe lived on a dairy farm.

And the single weirdest (real) name I've encountered in searching the Internet is this: Urhines Kendall Icy Eight Special K. http://www.neatorama.com/2007/06/21/worst-baby-name-ever/

I know a family with the surname Pink who had a 'Pink Wedding'.

Then went and named their poor kids 'Rose', 'Coral' and 'James Dean'.

I guess the attempt was to make their sons name 'anti-Pink'...

Oh and I knew a Krystal Waters...some parents are so cruel to their kids.

Skidoo
I knew a group of guys who changed their - perfectly ordinary names - to Zippy Moonflower, Bob Sherunkle, and Stone D'Again. Stone later reverted to his original surname. Don't know where any of them are now...

There are no wierd names.... all names are important .
....and really what we think that is wierd name doesn't necessarily mean that is wierd to other culture .
...it doesn't matter what are people's names... meaning and personality is important (at least should be)
