When should oldies stop clubbing? |
I was in a popular club in Dublin last nite and noticed there were alot of men and women who looked in their 40's. The average age in this club would be 22. What do u think? |

well I've never been into clubbing ...and if people are out and having a good time .. regardless of their age ... well good bloody luck to them .. I mean WILL you know when it;s time for you to STOP clubbing .. I think it's more about enjoyment than suddenly turning a certain age ( let's use 39 and 3/4 as an example) that dictates whether or not one should KEEP clubbing ....
I'm in my forties....y'know appoaching retirement .. no interest in modern music.. no sex drive .. old and ugly and wrinkly ( ROLLING EYES BIG TIME AS I TYPE BTW)....thing is .. age means little to me .. I'm not ageist .. like you are .. if I see somebody in their 60's out having a good time I think GOOD ON YOU!!......
I think by the time you get to your 40's .. you will be able to look back and think " CHRIST ALMIGHTY .. WHAT AN ARROGANT LITTLE TOSSER I WAS BACK THEN",,,, then again ... maybe not. |

Why do you think older folks shouldnt get to have fun at the clubs too?
I think people should be able to go clubbing until they feel its no longer fun or healthy for them
Excluding people based on age is really the same as any other type of stereotyping. |

Uh, you are not good with math, are you? If the majority of people in the club are in their 40's, then the "average" age should be about 40.
I've seen 80 & 90 year olds dancing before. What's wrong with it? Not everyone goes clubbing just to hit on girls, you know. |

How rude are you???? Are you being ageist? I'll have you know my daughter is still trying to get me out clubbing with her despite my pole dancing exhibition at Christmas when most of her friends were shocked that i could even get my leg around a pole - so was the poor Polish gentleman! They wet themselves laughing and he was a great sport, hubby hurried me home to bed and a great night was had by all! |

When I was 19 I went out at least one night a week if not two or three. I remember looking at those in the 30s and 40s and thinking they just didn't fit in. It wasn't those sitting with their friends that I didn't like but rather the creepy old men hitting on girls around my age, including myself. No 19 year old is going to be interested in a guy in his 40s sleazing on to them.
Personally, now at 22 I feel a bit to old at the local nightclubs where majority are 18 or 19. I tend to go to the local pub where more are my age or into Sydney where the nightclubs do vary in age.
I think if depends on the person as to when old is too old. I don't think you would be out clubbing with your children. |

Oldies should go clubbing until they can't do it anymore. Clubbing is not just for young people, it is for anyone who enjoys clubbing, no matter the age. |

When the zimmer frame gets in the way or the incontinence pads overflow that's when you stop.
I do not know what right a 19 yr old has to stop people going to a place they probably have gone to for years!
Im pretty sure it's not the 19 yr olds bar contributions that keep the place open either! In my club work experience the kids have a pint and fall over or fight and the older clientele can drink double spirits all night and afford it. |

i dont think there is age to stop partying, of course people our age party more than the 40's. but i even if you look old *(As time passes by) you are the same person from inside and if you feel young inside and you feel like partying. Why not?
it seems weird to us, but just try to imagine yourself that age. its never to late life is short and you should do what pleases you, as long as you dont hurt nobody.
this is my opinion of course |

I hate it honestly. Im 19 and cant stand it when there are old people all around me
For example: I went in a club and all these old people where singing Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire
I was like ........yeh........im never going to listen to that ever again now
The reason why they go clubbing at 40, is because they ****** up there chances of getting married when they was young and now are too ugly to get married...... so go clubbing to make them feel young again lol |
