Tasmania

Depends what you want. if you want an exiting city life then probably sydney would be best but if you want a beautiful ( but expensive) beach town Noosa is perfect. (thats where i live)

best place to live? i don't really know cos i don't reside in Australia. But my favorite place in the country to visit is Blue Mountains. I just love the atmosphere and the things the place has to offer. I love spending time there during winter. I just admire the place especially festivities like Christmas in July. :)

There is no BEST place as everyone is different and people desire different things.

I come from Shellharbour (1hour south of Sydney) and love it here, but if I had to move to another state, I'm sure I would soon love it there too.

What is important to you? What career do you have? Give us more detail, be as fussy as possible.

im from Sydney, and its great..but
i would say that melbourne is the best. great culture, nice people..lots of things to do. it depends on your age and what kind of weather you like to say what city is best.

There is no particular best place. So many wonderful places and a lot depends on your style your job your family what you like to do. your finances, all these things come into it. Perth is a beautiful city. Good wages as the mining industry has created a good living there, but it's rather isolated from the rest of Australia. I love Queensland not far from the wonderful beaches Sydney if I had plenty of money and a great job to live it up in a super home on the waterfront but wouldn't care to live in some of the suburbs, but that goes for most cities. Hobart in Tasmania is really nice if you don't care about the weather and lower wages. Darwin I love it but wouldn't want to live there during the wet season so hot and sticky. And Melbourne The state of Victoria is super but weather can be extreme. I hate the cold but some wonderful places to see in Victoria. So my choice out of all is The Gold Coast great weather great beaches but still it's not without it's faults, the roads can get conjested and crime seems to be getting higher maybe thats because the population is getting higher. Adelaide is ok not my choice though but a lot of people love it
