Where can I get an ID in Queensland, Australia? |
I'm under 18, but because my student ID card doesn't have my birthdate on it, it's a pain to get into movies and things unless I bring a birth certificate, but it's not exactly something I want to be carrying around. Is there anywhere I could get an ID with this information on it? Thanks. |

Couldn't you just take a photocopy of your birth certificate and carry that around? That's what my kids do. If you need to you could have it certified as a true copy of the original by a Justice of The Peace. Apart from that, I can't suggest anything else sorry.
Edit: LOL to the second answer. You can only get an over 18 card if you're over 18!! Read above where it says "Im under 18....." |

LOL to the first answer, it's pretty stupid to carry around your birth certificate unless you have to.
You can get an 18+ card from Queensland Transport, which is QLD's version of Road and Traffic Authority.
You get it where you would get your driver's license and do your tests and stuff, but it's not a license it's just a card that proves your over 18. Just go to the counter of any Queensland Transport center and tell them you want an 18+ card and they'll give you the form.
Make sure you take 100 points of ID, like a medicare card and something with your current address on it. |
