Brisbane is pretty much the end of the good waves. Up near Cairns it is flat.
As far as I know WA has waves all up the coast, honestly I have never travelled that far up the west coast. If they do flatten out I would guess it would be around Port Hedland.
The best waves are at Gold Coast, surrounding Perth, Sydney, and South coast of NSW beaches. You will get some surf elsewhere but these are the better places. |

your all wrong Agnes water/1770 is the most consistence surf break on the east coast(but the locals don't want you to know that), broome is a sometimes break on the west coast, usually around a cyclone, but gnarloo is the most consistent in that area |

The east coast, Florida to Maine, is not known for very good surfing but I am assured by friends from there that sometimes it does get good. Cape Hatteras in No. Carolina is famous for good surf.
Washington is on the west coast. Surf often is large and very very very cold, like in the 40's. Storm surf often. Beach breaks are often closed out, there are some points with good surf in Oregon & Washington. Surprisingly good surf in the Straits of Juan de Fuca, the channel seems to smooth the waves out, but again, very cold. |
