G'day laplandfan. Nara Park in Canberra is a good place for a small party of people. It is beside the lake with nice views and if you stay at the Hyatt Hotel it is just across the road. Lots of shady trees, nice walks, a few electric barbecues for an informal picnic. I have used it for a number of small parties and people have been really happy with it. You can make a booking with the ACT government ranger's office or just turn up. |

If you go to Brisbane or even further north it will be too hot by this time of year, ie. averaging 40 degrees centigrade. |
