Northbridge yes, but there are some great other areas like Fremantle (very eclectic and arty and about a 20min train ride from the City on the coast) and Subiaco (only 5 to 10min train ride from the City and is upmarket and funky). |
|

But Why??
|
Northbridge, but watch your back.
Its a bit rough sometimes. |

Claremont is great on Thursday and Sunday nights. You gotta hit up the cottesloe or the OBH in cottesloe (right opposite the beach) for a sunday session or also good on a Tuesday night. Get Seedy yeoww |

Yeah, Northbridge is your best bet, but it can get a bit rough sometimes - my friends brother got stabbed there a few weeks ago (admittedly, he is involved in the drug scene so probably brought it upon himself).
Also a bit out of northbridge towards the city there's the Metro, which is pretty good for clubbing.
Also try freo - there are some good places there, except the day after a public holiday, it always smells like piss (and not the alcoholic kind...) |
