Where is Best Place to Live in Australia?

I'm thinking of moving to Australia. I've been looking round a couple of websites and can't decide on the perfect place to move to. I want to live by the beaches, and I also love mountain biking, so I want to live near a place I can go mountain biking. What would be the perfect place to live for me? Thanks for all your help.

Whats Clifton Beach (22km north of Cairns) like? It looks gorgeous. I want to live in a place thats not heavily populated.

Cairns - Tropical North Queenlsand is the best place for you.
Rainforest - mountains to bike up - heaps of places.
Beaches - well there's about 53 in our area! .. and you have the great barrier reef...
for more info on Cairns and mountain biking go to:

For living on or nearby the beaches in Cairns - search on Nothern Beaches. many apartments for rent. or you can go to http://www.realestate.com.au go to rentals, search cairns area or Trinity Beach, Kewara Beach, Clifton Beach and Palm Cove - they are the main ones.
You would love it here. oh and if you are between 23-49 male, there is a major drought on men here - there's 50 women to one bloke in that age group, so you would never be lonely :-)

NOT Cairns unless you love humidity, sharks, poisonous jelly fish and not being able to swim in the water!

I would suggest Melbourne as it is on the coast and is within easy distance of great beaches for surfing etc. Plenty of mountain biking within an hours drive. Great lifestyle in the city also.

Although i know live in new zealand, I would have to the say the Gold coast

Sydney for the Lifestyle – it’s not too expensive, that’s just something poor people say. But really, it’s not as expensive as people make it out to be; it’d got heaps of jobs, great pay and a 24-hour lifestyle. You are also then close to the Blue Mountains to go mountain bike riding.

Or you could try Queensland, great relaxed lifestyle and weather.

What ever you do DON’T move to PERTH, you will want to kill your self, it is the most boring place on the planet, they don’t have 7 day trading and the people are really dumb.

Good Luck wherever you decided
