The Gold Coast is great as there are a lot of choices from quieter beaches in the south and high activity areas in the central Gold coast.
I also enjoy the Sunshine coast for a quieter beach holiday. There are heaps to do if you want to - Australia Zoo, Underwater world and other small tourist attractions.
You could also go up near Cairns to Port Douglas to the resorts there.
These three areas are easy to get to by flying or driving depending on where you live.
Also anywhere along the Queensland coast is fine as there are heaps of beautiful beaches to choose from. |

Sunshine Coast - The best place in the world. White sand, fantastic surf. Great accommodation. Good shopping. Fantastic weather. Think I'll start planning my next holidays.... |

The Great Ocean Road area is a wonderful drive which has many things on offer. Bell's Beach, The Cave, historic port townships and villages such as Port Fairy, Lorne, Warnambool all have different things to see and do. |

In the middle of winter... the Gold Coast. In the middle of summer... the 90-mile beach. The rest of the year, the Surf Coast or Wilson's Prom. But I'm also partial to the Sapphire Coast. |

I loved Stradbrocke Island close to Brisbane. It's a long Island and so deserted. The surf is awesome, in the right season you can see wales, dolphins and manta rays next to many other animals which you are a surrounded by, instead of tourists. Check out the Manga Lodge, cool place to stay and heabs of activities going on. Have a good trip! |

Mine is a little beach call Pt Rickaby. It's on the Yorke Peninsular, South Australia and we have been going there for over 25 years. There is nothing there really to do but relax, swim, bushwalk and some other things that only a local can tell you.
I love it. the water is clear, the sand is white and it has a deep family meaning to us. |

If you have kids go camping on the Bellamine Pen. If you are hip do your thing in Byron Bay. If you have no taste, go to the Gold Coast. Cheers. |
