New Zealand has most condensed beauty, lakes, mountains, rivers, etc, great for travelling.

Australia has the most beautiful, cleanest beaches in the world, even better than the NZ ones.

So it depends what you prefer.

Krystle
I would say NZ, because its relatively untouched and so diverse for such a small nation.

Also NZ's native culture is still very alive, which is great to see these days.

barbara b
New Zealand, more diverse . People nicer too

If prefer cooler weather, New Zealand. A land of green pastures and dramatic mountains.

If you like the heat and the flies - Australia.

Trish from NZ

New Zealand.

Well i think they have different kinds of beauty. Australia has the red centre and dramatic rock formations. It also has the Blue mountains which are stunning and the rainforest, canyons and the great barrier reef. Contrary to some beliefs there are also mountains in australia where you can ski; the best known are the Snowys. New Zealand is green, with a more rugged scenery. They also have mountains.

Never been to either but know people who have, they say the scenery in New Zealand is like Scotland, but better. The weather is warmer than Scotland but cooler than Australia, and of there is of course the long white cloud, cloud formation that is a couple of miles wide, but hundreds of miles long.

What's your criteria for "beautiful" ???

Both countries have beautiful parts and some pretty ordinary parts too.
