Depends what you want in a holiday.....Queensland (Gold Coast) has all the main Amusement Parks & is very touristy....but North Queensland is more tropical & good for camping & fishing etc....Sydney is the biggest city so it would be busy & fast paced but also has some of Australias biggest icons including the Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House.....Melbourne is well known for its food & coffee strips & is also the capital for Aussie Football so I would think the nightlife would be good there....The Northern Territory has loads of natural features....The main being Uluru (Ayers Rock)
The NT shows Australia in a very original, natural light...it has a lot of culture & plenty of landmarks & waterholes to admire...Think "Crocodile Dundee"!! SA (Adelaide) is a quiet city also known as the city of churches.....WA is a bit quiet, people think it stands for wait Awhile as it is fairly isolated from the other cities, but thats the way we sandgropers like it!....The capital of Aus is Canberra, which is also the porn capital of the country! Thens theres Tasmania which looks beautiful & green...I'd like to go there myself some day.....

Melbourne's a great city to visit, although connex trains are bringing it down lol.

But if you want sun and beaches, go to the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Sunny Queensland, with blue skies , beaches and the Barrier reef. Okay Australia in general as there is lots to see but I am biased as I live in Queensland and think its the best.

chok_valenz
Sydney maybe and maybe Victoria and any place where kangarooland is.
