Snows lightly about once every four years in Canberra, Orange, Bathurst, Cooma, Armidale - look on the map for these. Heavier snow about once in 15 years. The state capitals are coastal, so almost never get snow, possible exception is Hobart. Brisbane and Sydney are subtropical, Darwin is tropical so it will be a cold day in hell when they have snow.

Snowfields in the Snowy Mountains district are larger than Switzerland in a good snow season. Some snow predicted today for these and nearby mountains.

When it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere, in the Southern Hemisphere it is ?

I live in Fremantle, Western Australia.
It does not snow in WA - it might have done slightly on one or two freak occasions, but that would be all.
It is our winter at the moment and, due to the unfortunate lack of rain clouds, it has been gettting positively chilly here at nigh. Down to as little as 5degrees Celsius in the early hours of the morning.
WA covers an enormous area and the variations in climate are similarly enormous. At the moment it would be positively hot in the North and holiday destinations such as Broome or Cairns are popular destinations at this time of the year.
Get yourself a good atlas and start studying the data.

Yes, Australia has snow, but it's on the 'snowfields' not in the main cities. Our snow season has started now, and the most popular places to ski are Perisher Blue, Thredbo and Falls Creek, all in the lower east part of Australia. Tasmania has snow as well on it's peaks.

In New South Wales now, where I am, it's darn cold - Today is clear blue sky and a slight breeze, with top temp of 19 celsius, and last night it went down to 5 celsius. That's cold for us! We're used to lovely warm days and balmy nights most of the year.

Go to Perth, it only dropped below 60 significantly for a short period of time once in the early 1990's. That was the only time in recorded history.
