Ikin senja an orstrylyan ixint if ya want - or gitcha self a copy of the old book corld Let stalk strine

Translation: I can send you an Australian accent if you want - or get yourself a copy of the old book called "Let Stalk Strine" which of course means "Let's Talk Australian"
You'll access a good lot of info and have a real belly larf if you go to this link http://www.textfiles.com/humor/strine.txt

It has such gems of lingo as "egg nishner" (air conditioner)
eiche nardly bleevit - (i can hardly believe it) and so on.

But hey you could invest in a lifetime subscription to Neighbours and practice - or just get your '***' out here and drop a few coldies down ya throat at the local rubbidy.
(rubbidy dub of course is slang for a "pub" or what you'd call an hotel) So I said, come and visit and have a beer at the hotel.

cheers cobber,

lol i already have one =]
i dont think you can have a proper aussie accent unless you've lived here your whole life because if not, your old accent gets mixed with the new one and you wont sound totally australian.
good luck with that though lol

mmdjaajl
you cant have a real one unless you are born here

I've still got a Manchester accent, even though I left in 1963 !

It seems that the Mancunnian accent is hard to lose, but easy to pick up ;)
