Thanks for the compliment, but I thought that 95% of Australians were nice as I always say hello to strangers when I walk pass and will help them out if they stop and ask me for assistance. So which town was it that you went to? and I'm glad you had a good time.

Being Australian, and having been all over our great country, its just the Aussie way, its our culture, who we are, and how we are bought up. To be friendly, to be "one" together. Plus, we have things pretty good, not much to worry about over here, so everyone generally has a good time, or is looking for one. The best way to have fun is with people, hence our friendly, helpful nature. We hate seeing people doing it hard, and always jump in to lend a hand, because all aussies are frindly, you dont have to worry that someone is gonna pull a gun (we dont have em here anyway) or get violent. Go Australia!!!

I hear that alot from people who come for holidays to Aust. I guess we are just really laid back and not too stressed.

Australians are by & large friendly people. There are always some bad ones in any society though. Yes the girls are hot.

Because we have a more laid-back culture. We don't take things too seriously and enjoy what we have. I love to travel the world, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else than Melbourne, Australia.

We're usually nice! But theres a few who spoil it for us, but most of us nice Aussies dont like those Aussies. I think its the weather and beauty, i mean, who would be unhappy waking up to Australia every day?

I think it was just your lucky day.
You should of mentioned what state you were in as there is also a lot of variety among Australians from different states.
I think you have a clouded view or maybe it was because you were so outgoing and friendly as a tourist, cause there are some Australians who are real jerks.
