Why are so many young Aussie guys blonde with light eyes?

i am an american women who has been living in australia for two years and YES, everyone here is blonde and light eyed! Oh sure, Aussies think they have a few asians and abirgionals but you are from the USA and you are like me and believe me, Australia is a homogenous society even though they lke to call themselves multicultural. IT IS multicultural, but all of the culturals they like are white and christian and those are the ones they let in. Lets just say, yes, another answer was right, 92% of aussies are white and christian....but aussies don't like seeing that in print..BUT it is true according to AUS census polls.

Because they are of Northern European descent (the ones you're speaking of). There are many Aussies who are dark, olive, coloured, etc.

You're talking about Anglo-Aussies, so of course most of them will be light and blonde.

well the tan and blonde hair comes from us being in the sun for so long, like we're not necessary always out in the surf, but alot of the time we're out playing some sort of sport

There actually aren't that many Australian guys who look like that. In the beach/surf culture I guess there are but I've lived in 3 different Australian towns and most of the guys I have known have brown or dark hair. My boyfriend and my best friend are both Aussie guys with brown hair and blue eyes

There are more brunette Aussies then there are blonde.

Look at our heritage. British, Asian, European, etc.. All those countries also have a mix of blonde and brunette populations.

That's TV, I hate to break it to you but telly is not real. Imagine if we were to judge Yanks by the people we see on their TV, we'd think they were all really thin with perfect hair and teeth, and as everyone knows the US is one of the most overweight nations on the planet. Our telly is the same, you tend not to see too many normal looking people on TV. Except maybe UK TV, you see interesting faces on their telly. But to tell you truth the older I get the less I can tell those young people apart. I can't tell the difference between Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson, Katie Holmes and Brittiny Spears unless their name is under the photo, but I'm sure not too many Yanks really look like that.

The answer is in a bottle and it smells strongly of bleach. Yes, men use it too! As for the eyes, I dunno, probably contact lenses. They're tanned because it's, well, sunny here. So are the women by the way.
