Why are there so many Filipino women in Australia?

And why do they stick together so much, yet rat on each other and backstab each other at the same time?

The truth is that many Filipino women in Australia are married to Filipino men, who have migrated here for work.

The Philippines is a major source of permanent migrants to Australia. In 2005-06 the country was the fifth largest source of migrants behind the United Kingdom, New Zealand, China and India.

The 2006 census has 103,990 Philippines-born persons living in Australia. 34.5% are male and 65.5% female.

25% of the Blacktown, NSW, population is from the Philippines.
I think they like to start off in a place were they have friends to help them settle, before eventually spreading out. But then they find local shops cater for their countries products, whilst other areas don't, and they end up staying in the areas that have what they need.

Why do the women backstab each other ? How would I know, I am a man, and I will never understand any woman !

The pastime of many retired/divorced/widowed Australian males is to venture off to the Phillipines, Thailand, Bali, etc in search of the elusive female of the species - who are reputedly a little easier to latch onto ( and 'easier' in general) than their Oz counterparts.
Some of the cleverer such females manage to entrap the silly old farts with talk of love and marriage, resulting in the said silly old farts bringing them back to the land of milk & honey, where the 'takeaway bride' often manages to easily outlive their silly old fart hubby, and live a life of ease on the silly old fart's leftover super.

its because they tend to have really old husbands in their 80s who went over to the phillipines to buy a bride. that is why there are so many here.

First question: Mayhap because they are desperate enough to marry Australian men, who are IMHO even bigger sexist pigs than Texans? :P

Second question: because women are evil ratty backstabbing creatures? And please, DON'T ask me my opinion of my own gender! LOL!
