Why do so many people hate nz?

I've never been there, but everyone who's been there said it's a lovely place.

I have 2 friends from NZ and there's no hate between us!

I'm curious as to what made you think that in the first place??

As you know Doug, most Aussies hate kiwis - there is always a rift between the two countries over sports, jobs, what celebrity was born where (NZ or Aussie) so that could 'claim' them.... who has the best sheep joke....whatever.
They are always competing against each other.
I never heard of other country's hating the kiwis or the country.

I don't know who hates New Zealand, no-one I know does. Hate is not an emotion that is often seen in Australia. We don't have many fundamentalist religious nutters (Christian or Muslim) who seem to thrive on hate. Over all we are a fairly tolerant society.

Hello, your country gave us Xena Warrior Princess and Hercules. Why wouldn't we hate NZ! Seriously though, your ferries have a curious habit of capsizing- not exactly tourist friendly.

I have never heard of anyone hating NZ. I have a friend that recently moved to the south island, and he cant think of enough good things to say about it. Makes me wish I could go baaaad.

I have never heard a bad word about NZ except when the Wallabies lose. It is a magnificent country with wonderful people. Tell me who said this and I will ANZAC the culprits

i dont particularly hate NZ myself..... but i think that a reason could be that a lot of NZers migrate to Australia, and then proceed to tell anyone who will listen, loudly and constantly what a great country NZ is, how much better it is that Australia, and how NZers are overall better than Australia. Oh, and a lot of them start fights. That could have something to do with it. Oh and their annoying accents perhaps.

Australians and New Zealanders bag each other constantly. However, if someone else dares to have a go at an Aussie or a Kiwi they will back each other up. Sort of a sibling thing. We fight inside the family, but are rock solid outside it.
