I'm with you on that one ! Guess they just love spamming people.
In theory they are also getting ripped off too though. (but they can afford it) As those company's purchase a mailing list of guaranteed email address's that work..... but yes, what's the point in emailing a different country for products and services we can not get.
Wish they had something like a 'Do not call register' that we have for the phone now to stop companies ringing up selling or surveying, they need something for emails. Some block programs just doesn't get them all.

Most credit card companies are based in countries out of the US. If you have ever bought anything from a US retailer, the retailer has sold your infromation to the CC companies.

It is easy to work out. (Come on!! a bit of IT common sense here. It works just like regular junk mail or phone calls you get from telemarketers)
A mailing list is a mailing list. They just send out thousands of emails. They don't look at where in the world you are.

does your email address have .au behind it or are you using one without a country qualifier behind it. With out it, they believe that you're using the computer from the US.

There isn't anyone sending these, they are just a list of email addresses with a standardised invitation. They do not know or care whether you are in the USA or the backblocks of Siberia and only read Russian. Why not upgrade anti-spam software or just block the sender?
Have you got an email from Nigeria yet offering you a percentage of several million dollars? That is a fraud. Do not reply, just delete it.
