I really like Australia. I was there for 3-4 weeks, and they were great. The people are nice. I really want to go back.
The only part i disliked was the cold weather (I went in the winter), and the long flight. Despite that, it was fun. |

American here and here are my knee-jerk reactions to Australians:
1. Friendly and honest
2. Active and intelligent
3. Experienced and hardworking
Of course, these are prejudices because I don't know many Australians. (I know 2 from work, 1 is an engineer and the other is a research scientist).
Americans can be sold anything attached to an Australian accent and you're not getting any bad press here! |

I don't hate Australia. I think Australians are pretty cool. I love people from different countries and cultures.
A lot of people hate the US though, and I can understand why with my fellow Americans thinking that "patriotism" means "we are superior to everyone else" |

Never heard of anyone disliking the aussies. Great friends of the USA. |

Wow - most people we've met seem to love us Aussies.
We've been to UK, Ireland, Western Europe, China, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Malaysia and always found people generally like Australians.
We also often have tour group companions from UK, NZ, USA etc and none of them seemed to hate Australians either.
In fact we've had some people mistake us for other nationalities and are a bit rude but then we say we're actually Australian and everything changes for the better. |

As someone who holds dual citizenship and has a british and an australian passport, I can honestly say that I will always travel on my Australian Passport, because Australians are one of the most well liked nationalities in the world.
I've never heard anyone speak ill of Australians. |

I thought it was Americans that everybody hated. How could you hate Australia? Must be jealousy. |

That's nonsense and judging from your previous questions this is more about your dislike of Kiwis. |

I disagree that the world hates Australia, and have never had a problem with Kiwis or their attitude towards us. Settle down man. |

People who say they hate Australia are just jealous because Australia is the lucky country. We have the best of everything and very little dumb *** americans. Kiwis and Maouris live seperate anyway. GET OUT KIWIS WHO ANSWER IN AUSTRALIA SECTION.
American people can;t even find the USA on a map. At least Australian's know how to find their country in an atlas.
Your a bit confussed. Everyone hates AMERICA
and New Zeland can;t be that much better then AUS, considering when Kiwi's go over sea's they claim to be Australian |

Well, if this is white trash, lazy living then white trash and lazy me any day!!
Oh, and the maoris ARE on a more equal footing than the aboriginals.... I'd hardly call a Kiwi stating the obvious a smart ****! |

I haven't seen any evidence of that, nor any evidence of any Kiwi answers here either. You are ranting. |

I don't know anyone who lives outside of Australia, so I haven't heard anything bad. But I have to say, the Kiwi's probably do treat their natives better than we do. What good thing has Australia done for the Aboriginies? Just Kevin Rudd's apology. |

Meh, I say the people who hate Australia are simply jealous of the lifestyle we live here. The people here are nice most of the time, and have fun. We aren't tightasses who wouldn't know a joke if it bit them in the ***
Maybe people think we are rude, but I see it as telling it frankly and not pussyfooting around.
And if they wanna pick on the way the Poms treated the Aborigines when they arrived and some people still treat them, they need to look at their OWN countries. America treated their own natives appallingly and always have and still do treat their colored citizens like dirt.
Most countries, treat their indigenous peoples horribly. You may not like it, but that's what happens.
Like I said, Jealousy, and Kiwis are the most jealous of all. |

I haven't heard that, but do agree that Kiwis treat their natives better than we do. Hopefully with the apology from our Prime Minister relations will improve. |
