If we invaded NZ we'd gain even more funny accented buggers over here, and more sheep! No, I think that everyone in Australia should jump simultaneously at say, 9am on Wednesday morning and send a wave across the Tasman, pushing NZ further out into the Pacific.

New Zealand does have oil, a lot of it, in the Great Southern Basin. They're finally going to start dredging it up soon.

As for New Zealanders moving to Australia to get on welfare payments.....Australians still seem to have misconceptions about this: NEW ZEALANDERS CAN'T GET SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS IN AUSTRALIA. They can live and work there, but they have been barred from social welfare payments for years. If they want to get on Centrelink, they've got to meet actual immigration requirements and then wait two years before they become eligible for Centrelink. It's not pracitcal. So get your facts straight, mateys. :P
