Why is it that most Americans seem to dislike Australians on....?

this site and that our questions and answers are not taken seriously.

Please be honest in your reply, it may be a misaprehension of mine.

I don't know about the whole us against you thing..but I do know that I'm American and you are Australian and I Dig ya very much!!

ll_jenny_ll here
lol ok from an aussie perspective and this most certainly doesn't apply to the vast majority of Americans as MOST are fine... BUT i think we aussies pis$ some americans off because we tell it as we see it .... we don't kowtow to them .. we poke fun at their president ( and some take that very personally ...they don't realise that it is practically a national sport here to hang Shyte on ALL politicians)

A few americans expect the rest of the world to kiss their ar$es... and Aussies don't.

again most americans are fine .. but I gotta admitt it's kinda fun to stir the others up :D

They just don't understand us. Or don't want our answers to be better than theirs.
Some of the answers I have read, Americans believe they are the only ones on here. Everyone else does not exist. But the world is very Americanised. So you can't blame them.

i think it is because when they ask silly ignorant questions we give them silly answers or have a go at them

Hi! I'm an Aussie and I clearly identify myself as such. I call it as I see it on here and speak my mind freely. However I don't find that Americans hate me. I've made some really nice "virtual friends" on here!

I find that Republican Americans hate my political views, but then loads of Americans hang shyte on G. Bush all the time, so I'm not alone in that....... I think it's your own misapprehension. We have far more in common with Americans than differences.

If that is the case then I have not seen it but anything is possible. A reason could be they are very very misinformed by the media (which is likely) that Australians are just a bunch of beer drinking, boomerang throwing, crocodile wrestling yobbos.

But I do not think they dislike Australians in fact many of the answers that I have read state that Americans love Australia and it's people. So i think that it is just a misinterpretations of yours.

I think you may have got the wrong end of the stick, Dingbat

I haven't experienced this at all ....there are quite a few cranky people on this site who give thumbs down to good answers and write abusive things but I think they are not necessarily American and I think they have their own weird personality problems that are beyond country

I hope it's just a statistical anomaly and your correspondence improves in the near future (c;

Hmmm, I wasn't aware that any Americans hated Australians...if they do it must be out of jealousy (and yes, I'm american)

Crikey, some of them probably think we're not the full quid... dunno why. We're a pretty intelligent lot. Cn follow the cricket an everything. I reckon we must give a pretty good impression overseas...

Dan
I don't know anything about it or heard of such thing.

I won't want to know about it either if it's true.

The word use seems funny. "mate" "koala" "aboriginee" can't help but giggle when I read some of these made up words.

Krickee! Kangaroo etc.

No hatred or offense meant.
