The very location and title Australasia would explain this. You are in Oceania. I find it strange how many australians wish to question asians in the country. It is like people in UK if they were to query the presence of Scots and Irish French etc. They are neighbouring lands both geographically and historically. Asia goes back into biblical times and Australia is located right there. A land of plenty. Australasia.
Therefore the asians are correctly located and integrated in westernisation and also are in their own rights to be there.
My witness of asians in australia is their relentless hard work and great contributions to the society.
When I see australian cities as home to many SE Asians Malaysians Filipinas Indonesians Polynesians Fijians etc. it is perfectly correct both climate wise and with ethnicity.
One of australias greatest gifts ever is the wide multiculture.
That is what I really miss most of Melbourne ! |

I don't understand your question. Australia is not Asia or Asian. There are Asians in Australia and have no problems with that. They bring some great food!! Australia is a separate entity to Asia not even on the same continent we are close to Asia but that is all that we have. |

If Australia was first colonised..ok secondly (after aboriginals) by some asian country and then on the last 20years europeans started to move there, you would be asking...why is my country european?? The european is the odd one out in the Asia-pacific region, not the asian or polynesions and certainly not the aborignals |
