Because the So called TV Stations THINK we want to watch REALITY TV SHOWS. What Rubbish and we are sooooo fed up with reality TV shows, that we don't watch TV no more. I feel sorry for the people who pay out $1,000"s for having an add put over and not many people get to see it, because we are all now on the computers. |

do what i did. Sit on your computer and ditch the TV/// maybe it is a ploy to get us all to pay for it/// |

Get fox.
I like grand designs and spicks and specks on ABC1 and thats about it. Also Andrew Denton and Catalist but you know not watching TV is good for you! |

Channel nine? lol there's never anything good on channel nine.
I like prime (seven), ten, and sbs. That 70's Show has just come back on channel seven, if you like that. I think it's funny.
But it's Friday so there should be some movies on tonight. |

Ther are no ratings at the moment and the writers strike in US caused a lot of programs to close for a while. There is allways Fox if you can afford it. |

You think it's bad now?? You shoulda seen it in the 80s.
so you don't like:
On channel 2: Enough Rope (Andrew Denton)
Doc Martin (really good dry British humour)
Australian Story - excellent half hour show about interesting Australians
Foreign Correspondent - worldclass current affairs
Catalyst - really interesting, short, punchy science magazine show
On 9 -
Animal Emergency
Royal Flying Doctor Service
CSI (Las Vegas)
Without a Trace - full of Aussies doing perfect Yank accents
David Attenborough's Life In Cold Blood - what can I say, D. Attenborough does it again in inimitable style.
Two and a Half Men - risque US comedy - my 14 y o son loves it.
On 7, the only good thing is RSPCA Animal Rescue.
On 10 -
So you think you can dance Australia - amazing young Aussie talent giving it a red-hot go.
and best of all, the outrageous but loveable doctor - "House". |

The market for TV is mostly 12- 25 years old. The broadcasters don't care about anyone older as they tend to be a bit more careful with their money and the advertisers don't like that. Anyway they are spending their money on houses, and you can advertise Brisbane houses to Melbourne people or vice versa but it won't do you any good.
Younger than 12, kids haven't got any money. Under six they can whine for stuff they see on TV but after that most kids don't do it so much.
I watch about 2 hours a week now. I used to have pay TV which was Fox stuff but I decided that most of that was shite too. The Discovery Channel was a load of one-eyed American stuff, or sharks, lions and crocodiles. Boring when it wasn't annoying.
From what I hear recently the History Channel and even the National Geographic Channel is broadcasting what amounts to lies now. Sports? Who gives a damn about baseball, golf and American football? Not me.
About the only thing worthwhile is the movie channels but you can't have than without the other garbage.
Old friend of mine used to work at Channel 7 in Sydney. He calls TV the "moronoscope". |

Get foxtel (Fox), honestly, you will be glad you wont have to watch that crap they put on free to air anymore.
Great shows on National Geographic and Discovery, as well as the comedy channel and others. Better news aswell, channel 7, 9 and 10 news is just a joke, they aren't serious. You have ABC and SBS, but for a more comprehensive news programme, there is BBC world and Sky News Australia.
Sick of reality television and the rest of free to air TV? So am I, get fox.
Edit:
Hey alana, I like Spicks and Specks as well, great show.
I only watch free to air TV for funniest home videos and spicks and specks. |

Yeah, true. I ended up only watching TEN now for my drama series.
Nine has improved a lot since this year. It is my favourite channel and always will be. I love their news service! I personally liked their blue cube box logo and the idents they had in 2006 and 2007. I found that very original and creative. |
