Summer rains started early , particularly in parts of Queensland .

After all , we live in the tropics & sub tropics & traditionally the majority of our rainfall is in Summer...it's just that we have forgotten what it is like because we have been in drought conditions for the last 10 years !

Every year has different rainfall from every other year and every month is different too as the seasons change. Averages or what happened last year or last month are only a guide and variances should always be expected.

Mrs M
Yeah, your question is a bit hard to understand.

El Nino has ended and La Nina is upon us. The rain periods are back in cycle. It will be like this for a few years. Its just nature.

rustupd
there was more rainfall in November

Well I don't know about the rest of Australia but in Tasmania we get a lot od summer rain and a few storms in Nov. & Dec. It seems to be the time of year when things get humid. After Christmas it tends to dry out and become quite hot. I love the Nov/Dec period because it's the only time we get thunder storms and I love them.

Ken E
October 08 was severe drought. November 08 was just serious drought.

Actually throughout most of eastern Australia the wet season starts at the end of October or early November.
