Will it be difficult for me to find a job? |
I am traveling to Australia on the 10th Feb. Unfortunately when I arrive in Perth I will need to find a job. I was considering doing fruit picking, but I know there is high demand for this during the summer months. I will be 25 and am a quaified electrician to British standards. |

Our mining industry is booming. You could ring one of the companies that employs people on minesites. One is called 'Skilled' and ask them about jobs. Check out 'The West Australian' online - www.thewest.com.au .They always have plenty of jobs. Really you'll have no problem at all. Not sure if you are here permanently or just temporarily, but trust me you will have no trouble. If you are here permanently, there is a really high demand for security guards, especially on the trains-not a nice job though. Not sure where you heard that it was hard to get a job fruit picking? From what i hear they are absolutely desperate for people. Good luck and enjoy your stay. I highly recommend Mandurah and Fremantle to visit by the way. |

Seriously, take the mining option. Get a work visa and go earn $100,000 a year with your electrical trade at the mines. It's safe work, a little hot and dusty, but well worth the rewards.
They provide all accommodation, meals, transport etc. My brothers work in the mining industry and are raking it in.
They are DESPERATE for skilled labour, especially in the trades. Try the links below as a start. The Fusion Group might be a good start as well as the Trademan Recruitment site (tmra.com.au).
Good luck!!!

Many employers post their job vacancies on major job boards like Careerbuilder,Monster,Hotjobs and Craigslist. You could apply online and post your resume on these job websites. There are also some websites which are job referral services. More details at http://tinyurl.com/emdyn |
