Will you still swim at the beach?

Or would you rather swim at your local pool? If you even afraid of your local pool, would rather swim in your bathtub??

I have always been afraid of the beach.

Yes. You have a greater chance of dying in a car crash on the way to the beach than being taken by a shark.
So, should we all stop driving cars?

You can't be sure that it is safe or unsafe to swin at the beaches. If you read the article, that was the first shark attack at Bondi in 60 years!

It wont keep me out of the water but it makes me more cautious as to when i surf or swim. Such as in the early morning or evening.

I've seen a few large objects out in the water i just try not to look like lunch for them. It scares the crap out of me sometimes haha!

bridgesandrew96
Both, nothing like swimming in the sea with the sand and beautiful sunshine. Also, nothing like the smell of chlorine and a nice cool pool. You know what, you're just making me ache for summer. Shame on you LOL!

Dot
I haven't for a long time. I respect that the waters are the territory of the sharks and I don't want to be a cause of the death of sharks so that I can swim in the ocean.

Power Flower
It happens.. I'd say the lifeguards are now erring on the side of caution. I'm always cautious of swimming in the sea if there's large schools of fish, or trawlers nearby. Otherwise it doesn't bother me too much - I get more freaked out by bloody stingrays!

Mel
Oh come on, there has not been a shark attack for 60 years. It's not a common thing.

They had shark nets to protect swimmer, don't forget this guy was a surfer, he was a lot further out then the average swimmer would go.

If you are going to let every little thing stop you from living your life, you will have a very dull life.
