Yes, she should be able to get a bit of both. Or the UK one and Centrelink here tops it up. They all work in together.
More info read info on pensions at Centrelink - http://www.centrelink.gov.au/

I don't know, but she should do, my aunt moved to Australia in 1946 and I know that when she returned in 1996, she is able to draw her Australian pension here, so maybe she could do it the other way around, I don't know. I would think she could though.

I know that there are arrangements for pensions to be paid either way (UK/Aus & Aus/UK) but your mother would still be best off enquiring at Australia hous (i.e. consulate) to make sure that she is entitled to get thae pension in Australia

dont know..if its Russian pension, she would getting this in Australia, about UK dont know

tentofield
Yes she will. If she is receiving an Australian pension as well, her British pension will be reduced. She will not, however, be out of pocket.

firefly_bethy
She will definately get a pension my grandparents are British citizens living in Australia and they recieve a pension although at least for a while i believe it was less then what they would get if they were in Britain. Something to do with a policy for overseas British people and also exchange rates. However this may have changed. But rest assured she will get her pension.

Tell her to come on over as this is a land of "milk and Honey" Australians are paying for ever one else so one more wont matter.
Get all you can than go back home.

Don't think she would get a UK pension. She would probably qualify for an Australian one. Can she check in Australia?? Seems a bit of a pain, coming back to the UK every Thursday for the few measley quid that the government give to our hard working old biddies!!!!
