Would you fly QANTAS? |
After all the incidents with QANTAS lately, it seems only a matter of time before they have a massive disaster. I for one would not fly with them again. Sure the other airlines have had their issues too but QANTAS seems to be stuffing up alot lately and don't seem to be getting the hint that overseas maintainence is a bad idea. |

i dunno. i do think that the hole in the bottom of the plane would be terrifying! but most of the other problems were just with landing gear and this was before they even took off. If i had the choice i wouldnt, but if, say, the travel agent, booked my flights through Qantas i wouldnt be bothered. But i would be praying the whole flight! anyway i never liked qantas in the first place-the cabin staff were soooo rude! when they maintenence back in Australia i would be happy to fly with them. |

Yes I would definitely. As you have noticed Qantas has been having some problems lately and they are being rectified. But I have one thing to say would you rather fly an airline that has already crashed alot or one that's just been having some problems No crashes.
But I seriously hope that no planes crash. |

Sure would and in fact I'm flying with them next week and my kids are flying overseas with them in mid-December. They are still the safest airline in the world with the best pilots and the best safety procedures
I can't understand why people don't understand that all airlines have similar problems when they have huge fleets of incredibly complex aircraft, but with other companies, it's swept under the carpet and you never get to hear about it.
A Qantas aircraft is grounded or turns back for the slightest problem: planes from other airlines take off or keep going and you never get to hear about it. I know which approach I'd prefer!
Qantas problems are aired mainly because the Qantas unions are engaged in an ongoing struggle to have all maintenance done here in Australia and they believe that a scare campaign is the way to go about it. |

Well I thought the same... but just got off a flight with them!! Safe and sound..
Unfortunately because they are in the limelight every little issues is being magnified... issues happen all the time with all airlines... and Qantas are so focused on because of their long reliable reputation.

Sure would.
Qantas make hundreds of flights a day, they have always had small issues like those of late just it wasn't publicised. They have one of the highest safety records in the world. |
