The U.S. I have lived in both countries, and find the U.S. much better overall. NZ has some beautiful scenery, but the cost of living is really high (especially compared to the pay). Also, contrary to popular belief, I find the Kiwis rather close minded and afraid of progress. Many things are outdated, and the citizens do not seem motivated to change it. I highly recommend that everyone visit NZ (stunning views), but I would not recommend living there. The standard of living in the U.S. is much higher, and there is much more choice and variety. |

The US. Because:
1. I'm a citizen of the US. My home is here.
2. My family, close relatives and friends are all here in the US
3. There are more business/professional opportunities here than in any other country in the world, by a long shot. The US is the business and political capital of the world.
4. It's a large country with lots of places to see. NZ is a small island nation, geographically isolated from much of the world, except for Australia.
5. I'm sure it's a beautiful country and great for New Zealanders but I'd rather live in the US. I've been all over the world though and love to visit different countries and make friends but home is here. |

NZ no doubt,because its clean green and beautiful,plenty to do here such as stepping off your porch to go fishing,skiing,bungee jumping,white water rafting,the best views,loads of beach side accomodations for camping or to tow your caravan along to,great zoos to visit,hot mud pools that you can bathe in and wrap food in tinfoil,lower into the mud and it cooks pretty fast. Theres heaps to do,every day is never the same :) |
