Would you recommend the Australia Zoo?

In the future I will be visiting Australia, so I was wondering if anyone has been to the Australia Zoo and if you would recommend it for an American animal-lover.

YES ! Been there many times over the past 8 years and am amazed on how much better it gets each time!

Well worth it. Make sure you get there early in the day though to get around everything and see all the shows / talks / feedings.

home to the crocodile hunter - Steve Irwin - may he rest in peace.....

ah yeah why not, it is one mans dream come true - check out the wildlife warriors home.

www.wildlifewarriors.org.au - Australia Zoo - highly recommended

you will enjoy the atmosphere and all the animals that he had a passion and love for. meet his family and friends.

i love my garden

being an American yourself you would love it. Terri Irwin is of American background.

If you come to NSW you could visit our own zoo. Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. 400kms west of Sydney.

The Sydney zoo is highly recommended. Note the view from the giraffe enclosure.

I grew up in the Glasshouse Mountains, I only ever went there twice, once when I was about 5 and it was pretty much non existent, and once when I was 22 and I had already left the area, aside from the food being really expensive, there is quite a variety and its a great tourist destination for seeing Australian wildlife, they are kept well and the animals seem happy (not that I asked them), but as far as QLD goes its up there on the Zoo scale, and at least you're guaranteed to see something, and they cant run away from you :) like in the wild

yes absolutely - go and enjoy - meet Terri Irwin - an ex american animal lover

Be careful! 'they may not let you out'

YEAH i was lucky enough to see the great man (Steve Irwin) do his thing when i was up there, and really enjoyed the whole zoo it has all the Australian wildlife you would want to see and the animals are kept in inclosure's that represent their habitat in the wild, also the show they put on which i think bindi Irwin now does is exciting and a good family show with animals all over the place (you'll see what i mean) hope you enjoy it.
