Austrian guys. Do you say "Auf Wiederschauen!" rather than "Auf Wiedersehen!"?

Question 1) The same as the title question

Question 2) Do you say "Auf Wiederhören!" rather than "Auf Wiedersehen" when ending a phone call?

Thanks/Danke

p.s. I plan to travel to Austria. I am afraid I will use the wrong phrases when talking with Austrians. That's why I ask these questions

Danke

1) "Auf Wiederschauen" is commonly used wide parts of Austria (though not everywhere) but using "Auf Wiedersehen" is not a "do not". You can use either. "Auf Wiedersehen" being a bit more formal.

2) "Auf Wiederhören" is the form used when ending a phone call - because you do not actually see the person on the other end of the line but only hear him/her.

1 and 2 are used when speaking to someone you do not address with first name. When talking to friends, relatives etc. there are many different ways to say good-bye both on the phone or personal. A few examples:
Servus (also used when meeting), pfiat di, baba, ciao even tschĂĽĂź (as so common in Germany) is used. Also combinations are possible
Like: Servus, pfiat di! Servus, baba! when parting or Servus, griaĂź di! when meeting.

Hope it helps.

Well... you can't use a wrong phrase!

I would recommand saying "Pfiat di" instead of "Auf Wiedersehen"
And if you are ending a phone call you could say "Baba!"

¡quésuerte!
Question 1. Auf Wiedersehen” and “auf Wiederschauen” both mean “until we see each other again.” “Wiederschauen” is not used in northern Germany, but is very common in Austria, Switzerland, and southern Germany.

Question 2. Yep.
