Have stayed at the Hotel Wandel near St. Stephens cathedral. It was cheap by Vienna standards and okay for the price. Very central and just a step away from the metro.

Well, in my opinion hotels are expensive in Vienna, especially near to downtown, so if you want to spend your money, go ahead. However, near to downtown there many "Pensionen" those are cheaper and most of them offer breakfast too. The price is about 70€ pro room. I only have following addresses: I have stayed here:

Pension Carantania www.carantania.at

You can find more places to stay hier!

Please do not forget to view the maps to know how far is the place you choose to downtown and try to get a map with public trasportation routes.

Have a nice trip! Vienna is the most beutiful city I have ever been!
