In Europe (Austria) the official currency is EURO, not pounds. In Vienna everything you buy is marked in EURO and not in pounds.

if a store does display prices in US or Sterling, stay away -- they WILL be very expensive.
all pricing in A is in Euro, and should you make a significant purchase, don't forget to ask for a Tax receipt - you will get your VAT back at the airport. the rate is 20%, worth the effort on purchases of 100.00 and more.

Euro is the official currency in Austria. As requested by law items in shop windows must show the price in the official currency. So all prices are in Euro.
With the current exchange rate it is almost the same anyway.
Maybe there are some shops which will show the prices in additional currencies as well (US$, £) but this is not required and I very little, if any, do it.

dun dun dun
No, It's in euro
