an English company have offered to provide me with an Ozzy bank account for £100?? am i getting hussled? this price sounds outrageous? they also wanted £40 for an Oz simcard wen a uk one is a fiver!!!
I am an Australian living in the UK.
Getting a UK bank account was an absolute nightmare.
Opening bank accounts in Australia is MUCH MUCH EASIER.
You should be fine doing it on your own.

Well I live in Australia and it costs nothing for me to open a bank account.
However, I am not sure about someone who lives overseas.
Perhaps you could ask a different company so you can get an idea of whether you are being ripped off or not.
And BTW....this question is in AUSTRIA...Europe.
