How would i go about dialing a phone number from the U.S. to Austria?
dial 011 43 (and the city code and number), Vienna is 1.
011 - 011 is the international prefix used to dial somewhere outside of U.S.A..
43 - 43 is the international code used to dial to Austria.
1- 1 is the local area or city code used to dial to Vienna.

You would need to dial 011 and then the country code for Austria, and unfortunately I don't know what that is off hand. I know when i call Norway I need to dial 011 47 then the phone number in Norway. Hope that provides some help!

Dial 011 43, then the number. Don't dial a 0 between the 43 and the actual number: that is for within-Europe calls.
