I'm from Germany, and I have the same problem. What you need to do is show her that you are responsible or have a family member meat you half way it may be more expensive but It is worth it.

You have to be reasonable with her so that you don't exasperate the situation and make her enraged. You should come up with another compromise like improving yourself in by: being more helpful, kind, thoughtful...etc. You could also try and raise the full amount of money for the tickets and say that you are legally aloud to fly alone (depending on which airline you use). You could also ask your dad, as he could then convince your mom once you've convinced him. Hope you manage to get their, Austria a cool place was in Vienna for a few days in the summer for the football...

Tell her that there are flight attendants that you can assign for you, and they watch you the whole plane ride, and take care of you. Tell her that in life you'll have to start to grow up, by taking little steps at a time, and this is one step you want to take.

tough one. I suggest to have a little patience and do some research -
then ask nicely again. best to have a relative in A to support your request (the person who would pick you up).

airlines will take children and "deliver" them to an adult at the destination airport. our son went alone overseas when he was about four years old, and no problems (except he was homesick after a week).

prices - there are deals to be had, if you look. most destinations to suit you would be MUC (Munich) or VIE (Vienna). you'd need to arrange for an adult relative to pick you up there and the airline would only turn you over to this person (very important).
you need a passport and your parents okay.
no idea where you would fly from, but in May, Toronto to Vienna on United is $ 900.00 on Expedia. You should get similar deals from the US. Suggest spring and fall fares are cheaper than summer and winter,

ok well for one thing stop whining! your mom knows what she is doing
obivioulsy now is not the best time to go there, and you still live under her house and its her money
i know you miss home and want to visit, but you have your whole life to go there. and she cares about your safety and maybe when you are older you can make a trip
