I need the following info:
1)Where to stay for 25 EUR per night or less. I'm alone, so a hostel would be ideal.
2)Whether the snowshoe hikes are guided or not, and how much a guided tours costs. I'm looking for Tagestouren.
3) How to get from Salzburg Hbf to Rauris by public transport and how much does it cost.

I have tried to find some better links for you. I have been in the area several times, but live in the U.S.
This link is for inquiries about "homestay" type vacation apartments: http://www.dwellan.com/cgi-bin/email_form.cgi?action=show_contact_form&page=2279&lang=en
This is also a very good site, although I did not find an English version (You didn't say how good your German is, but I assume that was your post on Yahoo.de):
http://www.ski.de/skigebiete/oesterreich/raurisertal/index.php
I hope this next link works for you: It is the train schedule from Salzburg to Rauris:
If you can't make it work, just go to http://www.oebb.at -- find the English link, and follow the directions. I would think the train is by far the best option in the winter.
I'm sorry, I was unable to get any details about snowshoe tours for you from California. Maybe a local Austrian will help out.
