Should I take the full or partial tour of Schloss Schoenbrunn?
I will be in Vienna this weekend and am buying tickets ahead of time for Schoenbrunn Palace. I'd like to hear from some one who has been there. Should I buy tickets for the Imperial Tour (9.50 euro, 45 minutes, covers the palace plus the apartments of Franz Josef and Elisabeth) or the Grand Tour (13 euro, 60 minutes, also includes Maria Theresa's apartments)?
In addition, any recommendations on what I should see in Vienna would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I have only Saturday and Sunday to spend there.
hi,
i think that schoenbrunn is really worth a visit and you should absolutely take the grand tour because maria theresia's apartements are really interesting!
look at http://www.vienna.info/article.asp?IDArticle=10063 for other interesting sights in vienna - it really depends on what you are interested in!
if you need any further informations just contact me!
i hope this helped!
greets from austria and have a nice journey!

You should probably take the full tour, when are you going to be back in Vienna, you know? seriously don't do half, and then regret it later :) It's not that much longer. :) my husband was in Vienna about 10 yrs, and he doesn't ever regret taking a little longer to see the whole thing. Take pictures if you can!

I would recommend spending some time at the Cemetary. There are some immaculate headstones and statues there as well as lots of Famous musicians. (Beethoven)

Depends on how much you really want to know about the Hapsburgs and history. It's a beautiful castle and all, but if you've only got a couple of days, I'd spend it walking around to see as much of the whole city as possible. Walk around the Ring, try to take in an opera, eat at a heuriger, go to Naschmarkt to check out eastern foods and specialties, and just take in the fantastic architecture. Have a great time!
