Should i wait two years to get my license or not? |
I currently live in New Zealand and are moving to Australia in two years. I don't have my license yet. I was told that you have to get a new license when you move to australia but the license you get from australia works in both australia and New Zealand so..... Should i wait two years to get my license or not. |

I recommend starting to drive and get getting your license now.
Simply because the New Zealand system (from what I've read) is much less complicated then the Australian system (lol not hard to be!).
If you complete your license in New Zealand you probably won't have to do certain things, it depends which state you are moving to.
In Western Australia, there are many steps to obtaining your license. 1st Theory Test... then you learn to drive. 2nd Practical Test... then you do a log book (still a learner, drive with supervisor) which you must document 25 hours of driving over a 6 month period. 3rd Hazard Perception Test... a computer test on hazards... then you have your license!! Once you have your license, there are still rules... like night restrictions for a whileetc.
In Western Australia having learnt to drive in New Zealand you won't need to do all that. You will only need to an Eye Test and pay the fee.
