It's pretty cold now in Vienna, so in your place, it's best to focus on the 1st district, especially the area around St. Stephen's Cathedral.

It's pretty romantic to walk along the streets and see the old buildings. There are many cafés, bars and restaurants you can go in. You can also do some shopping (Hermés, Burberry, Gucci, Agent Provocateur etc). Vienna is also famous for its theatres and operas. They're not too far away and they're easy accessible since Vienna offers a very good transport network.

Of course there are lots of other places to see but for one day, you shouldn't go hectically through Vienna but enjoy a nice, amusing evening/night.

Hi,

Vienna is amazing. Spend the day in (near to) downtown. In a few hours you can see many of the beautiful things the city has to offer such as the Stephansdorm, Opera House and the outside of the Natural History and "Kunsthistorisches Museum". One day is not enough to see all the city; however is enough to fell in love with it.

Have a nice trip!
