What has Austria done to achive the UN Millenium Goals?
Of the millenium goal what has austria done to achive them
Hi. I think Austria achived the Millennium Goals a long time ago...
The Millennium Goals are for third world countries... and I wouldn t consider Austria a developing country! It's the 13th richest country in the world- analphabetism and underdevelopment aren't one of austrias problem... And Austria is tryin to do it s best to save the enviroment (no atomic power stations and so on).
What did Austria do for other countries? Well... a lot of debt relief I think...Sending them know-how and technologie... but I think there's a lot more that austria can do!

Hi I am an American living in Austria. If there is one thing I found great it is the recycling system. They have all types of different bins around all the homes and apartment. Also I am working at McDonald's there. Unlike just throwing away the garbage like in America they sort through it all. In the end of the day what is actual garbage (what can't be recycled) can fit in one normal sized garbage bag and only be half way filled. The lobby has a special room with bins for bio, paper, clear plastic, colored plastic, and one for the cups ( I forgot the category name.) Austria has also donated money to help others. I think the biggest UN issues are smoking and drinking. In Austria it is perfectly legal for a 16 year old to buy beer and cigarettes. They also have many resturants, bars, and clubs where smoking is permitted. In this aspect they are behind..Although last year they made it final that your not allowed to walk through the our big shoppig mall smoking...although some shopping areas still allow it.
