Sorry, no beach in Austria. But there are many beautiful mountain lakes in the western part of the country. Often chilly also in summer but the water quality is suberb!

If you're in the Salzkammergut, try Wolfgangssee, Mondsee, Grundlsee, Altausser See, or Toplitzsee. Those are incredibly nice lakes, and all of them are wonderful for a little bake on the towel and a swim.
