gonna give you the best hint ever:
Go to Trancoso ( south of Bahia) and stay at " Pousada Jequitibá " price are negotiable but you can get a nice room with air and tv for 20 bucks a day and can have meals in popular places around for 4 dollars
For free you get the most beautiful beaches with nice warm waters and lots of coral reefs |

Salvador is the capital of the state of Bahia. It's a very large city with hotels and restaurants of all types and prices and you get whatever you're willing to pay for. That said, you can spend anywhere from a minimum of $20.00 U.S. to several hundred dollars a day.
I don't know where your are, but 'summer' in the southern hemisphere is from December to March. During the winter, temperatures rarely drop below 70 degrees F., but you can expect more rain than in summer |

Bring 1000 dollars, because is expensive city.

Don´t forget... eat Acarajé. is a typish eat. but if you don´t like pepper, ask a Acaraje frio... or cold acaraje = no pepper... Warm Acarajé ou Acarajé quente has a lot of pepper. |
